6 Bold Predictions for the 2020 NFL Season

Nfl National Football - Free vector graphic on Pixabay

The NFL is in a very weird time right now where there is COVID, racial injustice, and they might even shorten the preseason (that's not that weird, but still). There are going to be some weird predictions and very very wild predictions. Others might be reasonable though. I'll stop talking and lets get to it.

1. Rams are a bottom 15 team

Yes you read that correctly. When you take a look at their projected roster, you can immediately see that they have talent at TE, WR and QB. But for them to be successful, especially in Sean McVay's system, you need a reliable running back. We don't know if Cam Akers will be good or not (I think he will be a 700 yard rusher). For this, we will assume he is OK. Then the O-Line comes in. All except one started was at or below a 50 overall grade from PFF. And their logo has a lots and lots of room for improvement. They shouldn't have switched.

2. We will get to see Justin Herbert vs Tua Tagovailoa

Normally, this would seem normal, but not here. Justin Herbert scares me for some reason every time he throws. I don't know why. He is 75% ready, but is 25% developmental still. He has all the tools, he just needs to put it all together now. He can be inconsistent at times. Tyrod Taylor will help him out significantly. As for Tua, he is still rehabbing from a major injury and may or may not be ready for week 7. His throwing mechanics are beautiful and he is 99% ready, but he might have to sit out because of the injury.

3. Tom Brady takes the Bucs to the NO. 1 seed

This one is sort of crazy, but it is really not. Lets go down the list here. QB is the GOAT. The WR core is stacked with Chris Godwin, Mike Evans, and that Minnesota WR that I am pretty excited about. Their runnings backs are decent, but could be better (sign Devonte Freeman). The O-Line is pretty good with all except one person with overall grades 70 or above, and Tristan Wirfs (rookie) had a 91 overall grade. Now to the defense. They have a pretty scary good linebacker core with Lavate David and Devin White. Their D-Line is scary with Ndamukong Suh, Shaq Barrett, Vita Vea, and JPP. Their pass defnse could use some work, but towards the end of last year, they improved a lot.

4. The Broncos offense ranks in the top 10

This one is not the craziest one in the world, but 2 of the 3 the starting WRs have never taken a snap of NFL action. Drew Lock has been organizing workouts with them, but we don't now until they take the field. Also, Drew Lock himself has given us only a small sample of what he could do. He could either struggle, or succeed in 2020. He has too many weapons to struggle though so he will be fine. And the defense will be fine with Vic Fangio (as a Bears fan, trust me). Their offensive line could hold them back a bit though.

5. The Redskins rank top 10 in sacks

Their D-Line has 5 first rounders on it. It is absolutely stacked. Also, they have a really good DT named Matthew Ioannidis. They run a base 4-3 defense which for you folks that are not huge football fans is they have 4 D-Linemen and they could have 3 LBs on the fields. It could change based on the offensive formation and other factors. Anyway, back to the D-Line. They have Chase Young (DE), Montez Sweat (DE), Ryan Kerrigan (DT), Jonathan Allen (DT), Da'Ron Payne (DT). That is absolutly scary. No need to talk about them anymore. Moving on.

6. J.K Dobbins makes a Pro Bowl in his rookie year

This might be a little crazy because the Ravens have 4 RBs in Mark Ingram Jr., Gus Edwards, Justice Hill, and Dobbins. Of course we can't forget Lamar Jackson. In their RPO offense and all the running backs that they have, it might be a little tough. It's not impossible though because Ingram got 1018 yards on the ground and Gus Edwards got 711. Lamar has said that he might be passing more, so that means more chances for the actual RBs to get yards. His play style fits perfectly though with the Ravens. He can see the hole and go.

That wraps up this post. Thanks for reading and see you in the next one.

One person to root for on every NFC North Team

Since there are no major injuries because people can't even play with each other in this current period of time we are living in, we will talk about something fun.  The NFC North. My favorite division that has some of the best players in the league such as Khalil Mack, A-Rod, Dalvin Cook, and Kenny Golladay when healthy. It is also in my opinion one the most competitive except for when they play the Lions (sorry Lions fans). But there will be those players that are unknown to most people, yet have so much potential to be great or are really good and don't get the recognition. So lets hop into it. Photo by Dylan Buell/Getty Images Bears: JP Holtz You all know will get to know that I love this guy because he has the mentality that everyone needs to have. Hard work and determination. He is an impressive blocker, and he can execute screens and catch passes when given the chance. You might want to refer to the Chargers vs Bears game when Holtz lined up in the backfield. Trading Yannick Ngakoue

Yannick Ngakoue is clearly upset at the Jags. He has to wanted to get out of there since before the draft. We all know that you don't play and work the hardest when you're not interested. The Jags should trade him before his value keeps going down. Or, they could trade him for at the trade deadline, but that would be risky because they would be betting that he plays well. So, here's some trade packages that the Jags could ship him out for.  1. Seattle gives: Will Dissly and 2nd round pick     Jacksonville gives: Yannik Ngakoue This trade makes a lot of sense for both teams. Seattle has Greg Olsen, and they can draft a new TE in the draft next year. But, they need help badly on the edge. They do have Darrell Taylor, but he is unproven. They also can't ride Bruce Irvin forever. Him and Benson Mayowa are lested as the starters. Not very impressive.  2. Arizona gives: Chirstian Kirk and 3rd round pick     Jacksonville gives: Yannik Ngakoue  The Cardinals d...
