Why Ledarius Mack is not just Khalil Mack's Little Brother

I've been wanting to do this article for a while now, and I finally did it. I was pretty excited when the Bears signed Ledarius Mack and I went a little deeper to see what he really is. I then found it. Sure, there was plenty of hype surrounding him just because he is Mack's little bro, but he isn't just hype. He is a PLAYER. And, Mack improved greatly from when he was playing at ASA college. But, enough talk. I'll show you some film and talk. Disclaimer: even though I am breaking down DE and off-ball linebacker film, he is probably going an off-ball LB for the Bears. But, he could be used like Belichick will use Josh Uche.

First, we will go with his weaknesses. Every player has their weakness, and that's just part of the game. (Yes, even Patty Mahomes. It's that he is tempted to throw a no-look pass whenever someone is open.) But Mack's weaknesses are not very concerning. They can be be easily fixed with the Bears' coaches. These coaches will teach a little better technique to him and he will turn into a beast (hopefully).

One thing is that he is on the smaller side and he can get walled off in the run game at time. This means that he is probably not going to be there on short downs because guys in the NFL are going to be much stronger and have better technique than the guys that he faced in the MAC division. Also, Mack doesn't have good power moves, and he will only win in power with perfect hand placement and the tackle having poor technique.

Another weakness is that his tackling is not the best in the world. I noticed that he sometime ran and got to guy using his 4.66 speed (very impressive for a DE/LB), but then his tackling was a little sloppy. If you look at Big Mack's tape, he wraps the guy he's tackling up and he has good form (this is when he wasn't going for the ball). Also, he has a really really high motor that sometimes, he tends to go to the guy, and not hit him straight. If he tones a down just a notch occasionally, his tackling could improve drastically (see the 2nd play above).

Now, we can talk about his strengths. But, can we just admire his stats really quick? For a rotational player he got: 7 sacks (2nd in the MAC conference), 11 TKLs for loss, 3 forced fumbles, and 24 total tackles. This kind of reminds me of Josh Allen (of the Jaguars). He played behind Calais Campbell and Yannick Ngakoue and still got 10.5 sacks, 31 SOLO tackles, and 2 forced fumbles. Anyway, back to Mack. He plays with such a high motor as you will see.

One of his strengths is his amazing athleticism and speed. He can be used as a QB spy or an edge rusher in the correct situation. Eventually, he could be a full time player, but not yet. Anyway, as you can see in the plays, he might be used in 2nd and long, 3rd and long, or even 1st and 10 because he can speed rush very very well.

Mack is a very good speed rusher in case you haven't picked up on that fact. He takes advantage of tackles being slow and he beats them on the outside. Sometimes, he takes his path too far outside because the tackle know he's not a power guy, but he has great recovery speed to get to the QB. Also, Mack has a nasty spin move he clearly knows how to use properly (sometimes, guys just spin and run into another O-lineman, or the tackle again).

This might be the main reason he makes the roster at the beginning. He could eventually get time on the defense, but he is going to be utilized in this particular area a good amount. One of the most game-changing aspects of the game. SPECIAL TEAMS. He is a great special teamer with that speed and ability to get the ball carrier. There isn't much else to say. I'm not to familiar with special teams so this is my analysis.

Thanks for reading guys. I spent a lot of time making the gifs and breaking down Ledarius Mack. Remember to follow my blog and subscribe if you want to you don't miss an article. Thanks so much for reading!!! See you in the next one.

One person to root for on every NFC North Team

Since there are no major injuries because people can't even play with each other in this current period of time we are living in, we will talk about something fun.  The NFC North. My favorite division that has some of the best players in the league such as Khalil Mack, A-Rod, Dalvin Cook, and Kenny Golladay when healthy. It is also in my opinion one the most competitive except for when they play the Lions (sorry Lions fans). But there will be those players that are unknown to most people, yet have so much potential to be great or are really good and don't get the recognition. So lets hop into it. Photo by Dylan Buell/Getty Images Bears: JP Holtz You all know will get to know that I love this guy because he has the mentality that everyone needs to have. Hard work and determination. He is an impressive blocker, and he can execute screens and catch passes when given the chance. You might want to refer to the Chargers vs Bears game when Holtz lined up in the backfield. Trading Yannick Ngakoue

Yannick Ngakoue is clearly upset at the Jags. He has to wanted to get out of there since before the draft. We all know that you don't play and work the hardest when you're not interested. The Jags should trade him before his value keeps going down. Or, they could trade him for at the trade deadline, but that would be risky because they would be betting that he plays well. So, here's some trade packages that the Jags could ship him out for.  1. Seattle gives: Will Dissly and 2nd round pick     Jacksonville gives: Yannik Ngakoue This trade makes a lot of sense for both teams. Seattle has Greg Olsen, and they can draft a new TE in the draft next year. But, they need help badly on the edge. They do have Darrell Taylor, but he is unproven. They also can't ride Bruce Irvin forever. Him and Benson Mayowa are lested as the starters. Not very impressive.  2. Arizona gives: Chirstian Kirk and 3rd round pick     Jacksonville gives: Yannik Ngakoue  The Cardinals d...
